The only adjustable Bow Maker that will make bows from 1/2 inch to 7 inches.  Yes it works with wire ribbon as well as polypropylene (standard gift ribbon).  If making a perfect bow for sewing, scrap booking, barrettes or headbands you may wish to use a softer material that will "scrunch" well in the center but it fun to experiment with different materials. 

Materials to try are organza, silky Satin, raffia or (wraphia), yarn, bridal satin, tulle netting, lace, gross grain ribbon, curling ribbon, picot and all softer wire ribbons.
